In-Flight Online Bingo Games at RyanAir

Ireland’s airline, Ryanair has something new to offer bingo loving travelers. Soon passengers will be able to use their mobile phones and other handheld devices on flights to play Ryanair’s online bingo and other instant-win games that will offer jackpots that will reach £200,000 pounds.

The launch of the in-flight online gambling service will be dependent on European regulatory approval for Ryaniar’s mobile phone service. The service is due to launch by the middle of 2007 and will allow passengers to make and receive voice calls and SMS messages via satellite broadband links.

US Bingo Halls Sue Over Smoking Ban

A group of bingo halls in Louisville, alongside the Kentucky Charitable Gaming Association, have filed a lawsuit against the state claiming that the new smoking ban is unconstitutional and therefore illegal.

The suit filed in the Jefferson County Circuit Court argues that the smoking exemption violates equal protection and due process clauses of the U.S. Constitution, and that the ban deprives owners of their property without compensation.
